Having relevant information can help you make the right choice when it comes to purchasing a golf buggy, because not all golf buggies are created equal. Here are the answers to some of your most frequently asked questions about our golf buggies.
Are there different types of golf buggies?
You can choose between walker golf buggies that you pull along behind you, or ride on golf buggies that you sit on and drive. There are different varieties to choose from in each of these categories as well.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to golf buggies, and the best choice for you will depend on your individual situation and needs. The type of golf course you play on, and the limitations of your mobility will need the most consideration when it comes to choosing a golf buggy.
Where are your golf buggies made?
All our golf buggies are 100% made locally in Australia, including parts, componentry and materials. While other companies continue to import key materials and componentry from overseas, Parmaker’s goal was to create golf buggies that are stronger, lighter and more reliable than other companies – and the only way to do that was to control every step in the process. Thus, we remain resolutely ‘Australian-made’.
Can I trade in my old golf buggy?
Surprisingly, yes you can. You can trade in any type of old electric buggy (it doesn’t even have to be in working order) and get $100 off a new Parmaker golf buggy.
Can the buggies be transported in my car?
All Parmaker’s golf buggies are designed to be folded down to a smaller size, which allows them to be transported in the boots of most cars. To make it even easier, the golf buggies are constructed from lightweight, easy to handle materials, meaning it’s a simple task to transport your buggy to and from the golf course. They are easy to manipulate and can be put back together by just about anyone. Have a look at the process here.
Will your golf buggies hold any type of golf bag?
They certainly will! You don’t need to buy a special type of golf bag for use in any of Parmaker’s golf buggies, as they are designed to transport any brand or variety of golf bag.
Are your golf buggies noisy?
Actually, they are virtually inaudible. You won’t be distracted by much noise when you choose a Parmaker golf buggy.
What are the advantages of lightweight construction?
We build our buggies out of lightweight, space age materials to enable those with injuries or limited mobility to be able to use them easily. However, we don’t compromise on strength or stability.
What extra accessories can I use on my golf buggy?
Most golf buggies come with a variety of available accessories that you can use to enhance the functionality and customise your buggy. These can include umbrella mounts, carry frames, larger seats, baskets or handles. Have a look here.
What type of battery will I need?
While there are hundreds of different types of batteries you can use, most of them are of poor quality and will not last as long as you might hope. Thus, we recommend the batteries we have available on our website. The lifetime of these batteries is longer than others, they are easier to charge and they represent the best value for money.
What is the normal life of the battery?
The normal life of a battery will vary between brands, which is why we recommend the batteries available on our website, as these will last longer than other types. However, there are many variables that will cause a battery to last longer than others, such as:
- How often you play golf
- How long your local golf course is
- How much your golf bag and clubs weigh
- The quality and suitability of the battery
- How quickly the battery is returned to charge after use
- How much support you need from your buggy
- How much time you spend driving your buggy in the long grass or rough
How often will the battery need to be charged?
It’s best to charge it after every round of golf you play, to maximise the long-term life of the battery. Always follow the charging instructions provided by the battery and charger manufacturer.
What type of battery charger will I need?
We recommend the battery chargers available on our website.
Do I need to get my golf buggy serviced? If so, how often?
It’s advisable to get your golf buggy serviced every year or so, to keep it in the best working order.
What company do you use for delivery?
We ship via our own carriers.
Can I pick up my golf buggy if I want to?

If this doesn’t work, or if it allows you to identify where the problem lies, give us a call. Most problems can be solved over the phone and are relatively easy to fix.
